The Fungi Kingdom is made up of organisms that do not make their own food. Fungi lack chlorophyll and do not carry on photosynthesis. Most are saprobes (organisms that thrive through degradation of organic matter, which is called saprotrophic nutrition), although some are parasitic (living on other plants and feeding from them).
